Apple Takes On Distracted Driving With New Feature

Apple's Tim Cook and team unveiled plenty of new updates and products at the WWDC 2017 on June 5.

Apple announced two new iPad Pro models, a 12.9-inch update (starting at $799) and a 10.5-inch model (starting at $649) that replaces iPad Pro 9.7-inch.

Someone who texts a phone with Apple's new function enabled will receive an automatic reply saying the person is on the road and unavailable.

Users have the option of sending an auto reply to contacts listed in "Favorites" to let them know they are driving and can not respond while the vehicle is moving.

Apple also entered the market for speakers-you-can-talk-to with the HomePod, which is exactly what it sounds like: Siri in a can with a bunch of speakers. Users can also re-crop and markup a screenshot directly instead of going to the camera to do so. After upgrade, it will give detailed indoor maps around the globe for places like airports and shopping centers.
