Packers erase deficit to beat Bengals in OT

Posted September 25, 2017

It's insane to think Aaron Rodgers had never won in overtime prior to Sunday, when he willed the Packers from a 21-7 halftime deficit to overtime and eventually past the Bengals, 27-24.

-Cubs starter Jose Quintana threw a complete-game shutout as the Cubs pounded out 10 hits and took the weekend series over the Brewers with a win at Miller Park on Sunday.

The Packers experienced a mass exodus of core defensive players over the offseason and were without Davon House, Nick Perry, Jake Ryan and Mike Daniels on defense for this contest as they were inactive.

He had two sacks on third down and another tackle for a loss. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and many top athletes - including Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the team's CEO - have since criticized Trump's comments. He was aggressive attacking downhill and made a major impact on the game. Those two have a chemistry that is unmatched in the league, and it showed up in a big way on Sunday. Green played in 47 games with Boston previous year, averaging 5.6 points per game. It led to the Packers having a chance to drive and tie the game, which they did. Jordy Nelson contributed 52 yards and two touchdowns in six receptions while Lance Kendricks added 52 yards and a touchdown. "I would have booed too watching that first half performance". He also drew a 33-yard pass interference penalty on the first possession of the contest. Rookie Josh Jones delivered a third down sack on the next series. Martinez was second on the team in tackles with 11, including seven solo stops and one for a loss. Jones' play Sunday helped ease the pain. The Packers, though, made some adjustments after halftime and got to Dalton with more pressure.

"We got the best player in the world on our team", Packers receiver Davante Adams said.

Chicago struggled in their first road test getting demolished by the Buccaneers, but have looked strong in both games at home.

"This has put the players in an awkward spot", said head coach Marvin Lewis.

As long as the Packers are playing their best football in December and beyond, they will have a great shot at going deep in the playoffs.

The Bengals are looking for their first win of the season, and it just might happen against a depleted Packers team. Through two games, Jones played sparingly, in favor of Kentrell Brice. He's expected to be one of the vital weapons for the Packers offense.

Whew. That one might've taken a few years off some of the more bratwurst-engorged Green Bay fans, but damn it was a fun finish. "He's a fantastic part of our offense, does a lot of things really, really well, he's a tough kid, a really tough competitor". Lawson had two of the Bengals' five sacks. It was the first pick-six Rodgers has thrown (that counted) since 2009. Yes, five straight. Rodgers is known for how well he protects the football, but so far his turnovers have been costly in games in 2017.

It took eight years for Rodgers to throw a second pick-six.
