Spurs stroll as Kane shows why he is one of Europe's hottest

Tottenham beat Cypriot champions APOEL Nicosia 3-0 courtesy of a brilliant Kane hat-trick on Tuesday and he was just as impressive in West Yorkshire, killing off Huddersfield inside the opening 20 minutes with two superbly taken goals.

After a goalscoring drought in August, Kane has scored nine goals in five games in September, with a brace in each of Tottenham's two away league victories and their Champions League opener against Borussia Dortmund.

"That is important for us and I have to congratulate my players".

David Wagner's men had conceded in just two of their opening six league fixtures to this point, with the Terriers now sitting pretty in 8th place in the Premier League table.

Dele and Vertonghen were suspended for the APOEL match, but face no such bans in Premier League play.

David Wagner's team are four games without a win, while only one goal has been scored in over 400 minutes of top-flight action, so Wagner himself will acknowledge that there can be no room for complacency at the Yorkshire outfit.

"I don't know how long he will be out for and we need more information from the doctor".

"I didn't see but I have to trust in you and the vision from the TV, and if you tell me now then maybe it was", Pochettino said.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have struggled to get results in their away games this season, but they would be confident of three points on the road this weekend.

"I have no individual plans to stop an individual player of Tottenham Hotspur's - that makes no sense from my point of view", the Terriers boss said to the media before the encounter.

"I think it was fantastic".

Spurs took the game to the hosts from the first whistle, with star striker Harry Kane causing havoc in the opposition penalty area before seeing his firmly struck, pivoting shot blocked for a corner.

"It's so hard to find words to say about Harry Kane every three days, to find different words to describe him", Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino told reporters.

Last year, Spurs had the best full-back pairing in the league. They are killers too but in different positions, with different styles to Harry. Harry Kane almost got his third after a headed flick from Eric Dier fell to him, but he couldn't make the reaction shot and the ball went out for a goal kick. He's at the level we're talking about - the strikers that score a lot of goals, and they're showing their level every week.
