The seventh-ranked Georgia Bulldogs dominated the Tennessee Volunteers 41-0 on Saturday at Neyland Stadium, recording their 800th win in school history in front of a sell-out crowd of 102,455.

A team that has a head coach who seems to be coaching for his job in Butch Jones, a quarterback situation that is a mess and they nearly lost to a UMass program as 28-point favorites. "We did not establish any tempo". The offense is getting better as on Saturday Auburn will have both running backs-Kamryn Pettway and Kerryon Johnson-healthy enough to play.

Or as Jones noted afterward, his voice sounding more reflective than combative: "It was as bad of an offensive performance as I've ever been a part of, and it's inexcusable".

The Volunteers trail No. 7 Georgia 24-0 at halftime in Knoxville. The Vols also had to make up for the losses of Corey Vereen and LaTroy Lewis, who completed their eligibility last season.

The Vols got aggressive on the opening drive, throwing to the outside in a five wide receiver set on the first play.

We have the right man in Butch Jones. "(This was) the first time I've felt really comfortable that we were ready to play.

Georgia also traveled senior place-kicker David Marvin, to go with place-kicker Rodrigo Blankenship and punter Cameron Nizialek.

Running back Sony Michel, who ran the ball 11 times for 64 yards and a touchdown Saturday, said he and Chubb talked about returning to Tennessee earlier in the week.

"Everything is about turnovers and turnover margin, and you can't turn the football over four times", continued Jones. His defense gave up 378 yards to Georgia.

Tennessee with only 13 yards through the air, and 32 on the ground.

UPDATE 4:12 P.M.: Geogria's Jake Fromm passes to Wims for 12 yards for the TD.

Tennessee's hopes of upsetting No. 7 Georgia lasted four seconds. There are a lot of Volunteer fans who say they want Jones gone.

We will update this article with the latest information. Georgia whipped State 31-3 after putting up over 400 total yards of offense. Bulldogs led at that point 10-0.

Defensive end Kyle Phillips said the defensive line will have its work cut out for it against the Bulldogs. In fact it has two scores to settle. They've got to stay focused and stay working. He ran for 20 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Tennessee's offensive line is a mess, too. Head coach Kirby Smart was optimistic about Kindley's availability through the week. Without a big play, they never had a chance.

"Peyton Manning's touchdown pass in the blazer". The punt went for minus-four yards.

Going into their bye week, the Vols have plenty to consider.

"Well, first of all, everyone should hurt", Jones said. To this point it's been hard to convince some fans, it may have even been hard to convince yourself.

"Right now we're being tested".
