Google Pixelbook details have been revealed ahead of October 4 launch thanks to a reseller inventory page.
The wait for the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will soon be over as the search engine giant will unveil them at an event in San Francisco later tonight. If you live in a different part of the world, you can check the start time in your time zone right here.
According to various sources, Pixel smartphones will also have a feature like HTC's Edge Sense with squeeze technology.
Both the handsets will sport dual speakers at the front - one above and another below the display.
On a related note, Google handed out free Daydream View units past year.
Apparently it's 157.5 x 76.2 x 7.6mm and 174.9g, which would make it slightly larger and heavier but slimmer than the original Pixel XL. While the Pixel 2 maintains a monochrome color scheme, the Pixel 2 XL is seen with a black and white color combination, and an orange colored power key.
The last year's DayDream View will get a refresh this year. There might be changes made on the inside.
It's expected to have a 12.3-inch display that's compatible with a stylus, and to cost between $1,199 and $1,749. This smaller version of the Home will take on the Amazon Echo Dot. It will most likely offer insights on Android Oreo, ARCore, Google Assistant, other hardware and devices.
That was bolstered on Tuesday, when serial leaker Evan Blass published press images of what he said, are the real Pixel 2 handsets. This version is expected to be a successor to the Google Home with better features like stereo speakers.
The Pixelbook is expected to be a new high-end Chromebook device.
The Google Pixelbook is listed as having a 12.3-inch display, but no information was given on the screen resolution. It will have an Intel Core i5 processor on-board, and comes with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage, so much more in keeping with those Windows 10 rivals than the previous Chromebook Pixel, which only had a 64GB SSD.
According to a reseller Synnex, the 2-in-1 device will come with three memory configurations. "Pixel 2 will feature a 4.97" full HD, Always-On display with regular-sized bezels. This report by 9to5Google was the first to point out that the device would have great specs, which we have mentioned below. In case you're not able to attend the event in person, you can catch all the live updates here.
