Seahawks vs. Rams: Highlights, game tracker and more

Posted October 09, 2017

I follow the tradition of all Seattle fans despising all Los Angeles sports teams. This Rams team is rolling, sitting in first place in the NFC West and powered by a prolific offense.

We probably should have known better, considering Jeff Fisher was in charge and Case Keenum was at quarterback.

Maybe not always, but in the wake of Seattle's first road win of the season, its implausibility called for a little hyperbole.

Still, even some in the Seattle locker room wondered why it has taken until the fifth game for Graham to score his first touchdown of the season.

LOS ANGELES Michael Bennett and his fellow defensive linemen did the national anthem differently this time.

Jared Goff and the Rams offense couldn't capitalize on their four chances in the red zone with less than a minute left in the game to potentially win it at home and now the Seahawks have taken the lead in the division.

Another development was that the Seahawks defense is not past tense.

"It wasn't like we weren't moving the ball", said Goff, who was 22 of 47 for 288 yards and two picks. "Our demise was greatly overstated".

This time, he's got healthy legs to get away from the Rams' swarming defensive front. Donald has four sacks in six games against the Seahawks. The Rams got the ball when Johnson intercepted Wilson and returned it 69 yards.

"He's got a sore foot, " Carroll said.

Safety Cody Davis, starting for injured Lamarcus Joyner, gave the Rams an extra possession with an interception on a Seattle trick play.

The Rams could have won this game. But with Jeff Fisher as your coach, how much success can you really find?

Regardless of who plays on Sunday, it will be interesting to see how the Seahawks defense manages running back Todd Gurley and his 3-1 Rams. The ball glanced off the pylon, so the Seahawks were awarded a touchback. "We haven't seen him in a while", Carroll told reporters of Rawls. This would truly be a signature win and an emphatic statement. And might make the difference in a game.

This has all made the Rams look like an wonderful team through the quarter mark of the season. He's 6-foot-7. Throw the ball up to him.

The Seattle Seahawks are coming off of a dominating performance against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football, but many still seem to believe that this Seahawks team isn't as dominant as they've been in years past.

"There was nobody in the stadium who didn't think that guy wasn't scoring", Carroll said.

Paramedics tended to him and he was rushed to the hospital where he stayed overnight.

"Fantastic example of never giving up". But the primary reason for Seattle's 16-10 win is this: The Seahawks are the Seahawks and the Rams are the Rams. It was by far Seattle's best effort as it finally established a running game to complement Russell Wilson's pinpoint passing. I know what you're thinking: fat chance. "They were really tough up front and it was hard on us".

Goff's pass floated a bit and came up short.

"To the players' credit, they've made a handful of plays", new Rams coach Sean McVay said. But they have yet to learn the ways of navigating the tightrope.
